[Vol.5] WELL-BEING

  • WELL-BEING typically means the state of feeling healthy and happy. In Japan, it often refers to a state of well-being, not only physically but also mentally and socially. The notion of WELL-BEING has been attracting attention in recent years in Japan, where various social issues such as the declining birthrate and aging population lie, as a way to reevaluate how we work and live. At Ritsumeikan University, the Institute of Advanced Research for Sports and Health Sciences has been taking the initiative in promoting its efforts toward "WELL-BEING." This revamped English issue of RADIANT features our research for "WELL-BEING," which enlivens both mind and body.
