First-year students in the IB Course will participate in two Pre-CAS activities as preparation for CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service), a core component of the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), which will officially begin in January next year.

On Saturday, October 17, students took part in a cycling activity as part of the "A (Activity)" component of CAS. They challenged themselves to complete a course of approximately 40 km from Uji to Hirakata. While paying close attention to traffic rules and cycling safety, the students encouraged one another and worked together throughout the ride, successfully completing the activity.

CAS activities will begin in earnest next January. We hope that experiences like this will help students discover their own interests and passions and inspire them to take on new challenges.
