Women's Ekiden Team Wins Kyoto! To the National Championships
The 34th National High School Ekiden Championship Kyoto Preliminary Round was held at Tamba Shizen Undo Koen on November 6, 2022.
The overall women's record was 1 hour, 10 minutes, and 04 seconds, winning the race.
This is the 36th time in 34 consecutive years that we have won this event, which is a very significant achievement.
This is also the 34th time in 34 consecutive years that the team has participated in the National Championships.
In addition, the following members of the team all won sectional prizes.
1st section: Aiko HOSOYA (3rd year)
2nd section: Sayuki OTA (3rd year)
3rd section: Yune IKEDA (2nd year)
4th section: Miyu FUKADA (2nd year)
5th section: Yumi YAMAMOTO (2nd year)
All of them won sectional prizes, which is a great result!
We will do our best to win the national championship!
