Alumni selected as "Under 30" who will change the world from Japan - Career Lecture by Kaho Shinohara

"If you are honest about your feelings, you can be the only one" - This was the message from Kaho Shinohara, a graduate of the program, at a career lecture to high school students on March 17. She was selected by Forbes this year as one of the 30 "under 30" people from Japan who are changing the world, and is currently working as a grant project manager for the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation in the UK to "shape a better society through sports. In addition to contributing to the success of last year's Paralympic Games in Tokyo, she is currently involved in social contribution projects for Naomi Osaka.

In high school, Ms. Shinohara was not good at English or sports and lacked self-confidence, but at our school, she learned such things as "to be honest and become a global citizen as the only one" and declared that she would become a TOP LADY upon graduation. After graduation, she is now striving to realize her dream of "improving her English in order to work in sports and become the only one" by broadening her horizons and widening her views through study abroad and other opportunities.

Ms. Shinohara, who talked about her dream that "the world will become closer as much as I have learned" and the importance of "valuing my own feelings," planted a very wonderful "seed. It was a wonderful lecture that gave us a premonition that from such a "seed" a rich "bud" will sprout and a flower will bloom.
