First-Year High School IG and IM Course Students Hold Parent-Child Interaction Class in “Basic Home Economics”
whats-new
As part of the “Basic Home Economics” classes for first-year high school students, a parent-child interaction program was held. This year as well, the program was made possible with the generous cooperation of our school faculty members, their families, and alumni who kindly agreed to participate.
Students are studying childcare from a variety of perspectives within the course content. As nuclear families become more common and the birthrate continues to decline, opportunities for high school students to interact directly with infants and young children have decreased. Through interacting with parents currently raising children and their young children, students were able to deepen their understanding of childcare learning.
The participants shared many valuable messages with the students, including the joys of watching children grow, the challenges of parenting, how parents themselves gradually grow alongside their children, as well as what high school students can do now and what they should value in the future. This became a wonderful opportunity for students to engage with childcare from a personal perspective.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the parents and children who cooperated with our home economics education program!
