Judo: High School Students will participate in the Kinki Juniors.
On Saturday, May 13, 2023, the "2023 All Japan Junior Judo Weight Classification Tournament Kyoto Preliminary Round" was held at the Kyoto Budo Center. This tournament is for 20 years old and younger, with seven weight classes each for men and women.
The third-place finisher in each weight class will participate in the Kinki Junior Judo Weight Class Championships to be held in July at the Hyogo Prefectural Budokan.
The results of the competitors from our school are as follows.
-48kg weight class
OMOTEHARA Nanoha (Lost the first battle)
TAKAMI Wakana (Second Place)
-57kg weight class
MIYAMOTO Aika (championship)
＜-63kg級＞
OHKUBO Rei (Lost the first battle)
Based on the above results, third-year students Miyamoto and Takami will participate in the Kinki Juniors.
They were able to win the fierce competition against strong university and high school students and grab a ticket to participate.
We hope that they will show their strength at the Kinki Juniors, and that it will lead them to the All-Japan Juniors.
