In the second round of the 52nd Kansai High School Championship, the Ritsumeikan Uji High School Panthers, representing Kyoto Prefecture, won a competitive match against the Osaka Sangyo University High School Fighting Angels, the No. 1 ranked team in Osaka Prefecture. The Panthers from Ritsumeikan Uji High School, representing Kyoto Prefecture, won a hard-fought match against the Fighting Angels from Osaka Sangyo University High School, the No. 1 ranked team in Osaka Prefecture, and won 24-14, The Panthers won a hard-fought game to advance to the semifinals with a 24-14 victory over the Osaka Sangyo University High School Fighting Angels.

Many friends, parents, and alumni came to the game to cheer the team on.
