Ritsumeikan Uji scored three runs in the first inning on three long hits, and added five more runs in the second inning, including a three-run homer by Riku Kitagawa, to take control of the game early.
The ace Tokawa gave up one run in the 5th inning, but he shut down the opposing batting lineup with 2 hits and 1 walk.
In the fourth round, the team will face Nishi Maizuru, a team with a slim lead and momentum, in the best-of-eight game at Wakasa Stadium on Thursday, July 20.
