The team took the lead with four straight hits from the top of the first inning, and ran away with the game with a complete game.

　In the first inning, Ritsumeikan Uji got an opportunity to get on base with no outs when Shota Jinno led off with a triple and Inoue hit an infield single. Ito followed with an infield single to put runners at first and second with no outs. The team was able to get past their ace, who had not allowed a run in this tournament, but were unable to score any more runs after that.

　Rising to the occasion was Ritsumeikan Uji's ace Togawa, who scattered five hits and two walks against the Ryukoku University Heian batting lineup, which is competing in the Sembatsu tournament, and only once allowed a runner to reach third base.

　Ritsumeikan Uji will be making its first appearance in the finals since the summer of 2019, when it won the previous championship, and if it wins the Uji City showdown with Kyoto Shoei, it will be its fourth appearance in Koshien in four years.

　The final game will be held on Friday, July 28, at 10:00 a.m.
