Uji City Future Campus Project Presentation

The "Uji City Future Campus" is a program for high school and university students to start up local businesses through interviews with local people and fieldwork.

Through interviews with local people and fieldwork, participants learn about the strengths and challenges of Uji City.
This is the third time that the program has been held, and the students are now working together with their peers to solve local issues with the support of mentors who have a wealth of business experience.
This is the third time that many of our high school students have participated in this program.
During the three-month period from June to August, the students experienced a variety of learning experiences, including fieldwork and group work, and conducted demonstration experiments.
For details, please visit the Uji NEXT website.

The project presentation was held on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at the hall of the Uji City Lifelong Learning Center.

The projects of the groups in which our students participated are as follows
Mikurayama Shopping Street Revitalization Project: "Asaen Ichiba Hajimashita" (Morning Market Started)
The project was called "Bringing the Charm of Kokura to the World! ~High School Students' Town Walking Workshop
Development of a new product using tea leaves" (a joint group of students from the school and Ryukoku University)

All groups reported on their three months of practice, found issues that became apparent in their demonstration experiments, and received feedback from the guests.

Although this project presentation was called the "final presentation," it was not the end of the project.
We hope that this will not be the end of the project, and that the project will be further developed.
