【December 8 (Fri.) Women's Track & Field Team Made a Courtesy Visit for the National High School Ekiden Road-Relay Race】

Chiseno Ikeda, captain of the women's track and field team, who will participate in the 35th National High School Ekiden Road Relay Race on Sunday, December 24, visited Kyoto City, Uji City, and Ritsumeikan Gakuen with Principal Noriko Ochi and Director Emi Ikeda to report on their participation in the race.

"I want to fight hard with pride and responsibility to represent Kyoto," said Ikeda, "I have practiced hard for a year. I want to do my best so that I can be the first one to cross the finish line."

The tournament will start and end at Takebishi Stadium Kyoto in Ukyo-ku, Kyoto City, and as the 35th commemorative tournament, a total of 58 schools will compete, including 47 schools representing each prefecture and 11 schools representing each region. We look forward to your enthusiastic and warm support for the athletes of Ritsumeikan Uji as they run through the winter streets of Kyoto.
