Ritsumeikan Uji High School Lacrosse Team Shines at National Championships

From March 29th to 31st, the Ritsumeikan Uji High School Lacrosse Team participated as the Kansai champions in the 15th National Junior and Senior High School Girls' Lacrosse Championship held at Miura Kaigan Sports Park and achieved an impressive top-four finish.

Our school's lacrosse team secured victory at the 18th Kansai Junior and Senior High School Girls' Lacrosse Autumn Tournament held last November, marking our first championship win in ten years and earning us the opportunity to compete in the national tournament this time. Despite historically having a relatively large number of members, the current team consists of only 17 individuals! Despite the scarcity of substitute players, the team's endurance and determination were evident throughout the tournament, dominating other teams from start to finish.

Despite being the smallest team in the past decade, this is undeniably the strongest team in our ten-year history. Managers, players, and coaches all played their respective roles, contributing to the team's victorious outcome.

We kindly ask for your continued support for the lacrosse team.

Results:
  •  1st Round: Won against Mejiro Kenshin Junior and Senior High School, 7-5.
  •  Semifinals: Lost to Asuka High School from Tokyo, 6-15.
