On June 23, 2024, the final match of the 22nd Kansai Junior High School American Football Championship was held at Oji Stadium. The Ritsumeikan Uji Junior High School Panthers defeated the Kwansei Gakuin Junior High School Fighters 28-14. This victory marks the Panthers' second championship win in the spring Kansai Middle School Championship, with their last win occurring in 2015, nine years ago.

The game was played under occasionally rainy conditions. The match kicked off with Ritsumeikan Uji's opening kick. On the first offensive play by Kwansei Gakuin, they attempted a pass which was immediately intercepted by the Panthers. Taking advantage of the excellent field position, the Panthers executed a run play followed by a pass for a touchdown, taking an early 7-0 lead. However, Kwansei Gakuin responded swiftly with a kickoff return touchdown, tying the game at 7-7.

In their next offensive drive, Ritsumeikan Uji continued to gain first downs by diversifying their targets. They finished the drive with a touchdown pass, leading 14-7. Moving into the second quarter, the Panthers capitalized on mistakes by Kwansei Gakuin, scoring two more touchdowns to extend their lead to 28-7.

As the second half began, the rain intensified, leading to difficulties for both teams with snap execution, resulting in a series of punts. The only score in the second half came in the fourth quarter when Kwansei Gakuin, under pressure, managed to catch a deflected pass for a touchdown, bringing the score to 28-14 with only two minutes remaining. Despite their efforts to stage a comeback with a series of passes, Kwansei Gakuin was unable to sustain their drives. Ritsumeikan Uji effectively ran out the clock to secure their victory.

After the game, an award ceremony was held where the Panthers' captain received the championship trophy. Individual awards were also given, with Ritsumeikan Uji's Maruku Nakagawa receiving the Best Back Award and Sora Aoki being named MVP.
