Ritsumeikan Uji High School Students Shine at JEMUN 2024

From Saturday, July 13th to Monday, July 15th, 20 students from the IB course at Ritsumeikan Uji High School participated in the Japan English Model United Nations (JEMUN) held at Kinki University in Osaka. Over the three days, they engaged in discussions on sustainable tourism, presented position papers, and formulated new resolutions. The event also provided an opportunity to interact with high school students from across Japan, fostering new friendships and exchanging innovative ideas.

The Ritsumeikan Uji High School group was honored with the "Positive Impact Award" for Best High School Delegation, and one IB1 student received the "Best Position Paper Award." Our IB course remains committed to participating in Model United Nations conferences both domestically and internationally, with plans to attend the Yale Model United Nations Taiwan in Taipei in 2025.
