IB course: CASx Shimanami Cycling Tour

From July 20 to 22, 22 first and second-year students from the IB course participated in a cycling trip across the Shimanami Kaido. This journey involved cycling approximately 70 kilometers from Imabari to Onomichi over two days.
The Shimanami Kaido is renowned worldwide as a premier cycling route, offering stunning scenery for travelers to enjoy. As they cycled through this beautiful natural landscape, the students had the opportunity to savor fresh local seafood and fruits.
Despite the extremely challenging journey, all the students managed to complete the entire route, exhausted but triumphant. Along the way, they relished the breathtaking views, delicious meals, and the chance to connect with the local natural environment.
The IB course emphasizes experiences like this to help students appreciate the unique nature of Japan and develop the ability to overcome challenges together with their peers. Through this trip, the students grew significantly and created precious memories. This Shimanami Kaido cycling trip undoubtedly contributed to their personal development.
