Junior and High School Baton Twirling Shine at Kyoto Prefecture, Both Advancing to Kansai Regional
On Sunday, September 15, 2024, the 41st Kyoto Prefecture High School Comprehensive Cultural Festival Baton Twirling Division and the 32nd Kyoto Prefecture Baton Twirling Tournament were held at Yamashiro General Sports Park Gymnasium. Our junior high and high school baton twirling teams participated in the event.
For the junior high school team, it was their first-ever team performance. They captivated the audience with their mystical and energetic routine based on the theme "Ainu: Prayer to Kamuy." The high school team performed a piece titled "COVID-19: Lost Youth, and Now," powerfully expressing the youth that was taken away during the pandemic and the joy of reclaiming it. Their performance was highly praised.
Both the junior high and high school teams received gold awards, securing spots in the Kansai Regional Tournament.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the many parents and alumni who came to support us. We look forward to your continued encouragement of the baton twirling teams.
