On Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Wakasa Stadium Kyoto, the Ritsumeikan Uji High School baseball team secured their fourth victory in the Kyoto Prefecture High School Baseball Tournament, defeating Ryukoku University Heian High School 3-2 in the final, marking their first championship win in 15 years.

Although Ryukoku University Heian High School took the lead early, Ritsumeikan Uji managed to tie the game in the sixth inning. In a thrilling, closely contested match, the game extended into a tie-break in the 10th inning. After allowing a go-ahead run, Ritsumeikan Uji rallied for a dramatic walk-off win with a timely hit, securing their hard-fought victory.
