High School Student General Assembly and By-Election for Student Council Held
On Friday, June 6, the High School Student General Assembly and the Student Council By-Election were held.
The assembly opened with an inspiring address from the Student Council President, who declared, “We have the power to shape our school. Let each of us think and act with initiative.” Following the address, the Student Council presented an activity report, proposed this year’s budget, and explained various agenda items. The theme of this year’s school festival, “Da Capo (D.C.),” was also unveiled, building excitement for the upcoming event through the introduction of planned activities.
The Student Council regularly gathers student opinions through a “suggestion box.” Among the feedback received, several suggestions requiring coordination with the school were addressed by the Student Council representatives. Notably, a student-proposed repair of the floor tiles in the school’s Sky Garden was successfully implemented. In addition, a proposal was made to re-examine the current school rules, sparking strong interest from the student body.
Over 600 responses were submitted in the post-assembly survey, reflecting a strong commitment among students to actively contribute to improving school life. The entire event—from the drafting of proposals to the preparation of slides and surveys, and the moderation on the day—was planned and executed by the Student Council members. Thanks to their careful preparation, the assembly proceeded smoothly and concluded successfully.
Immediately following the assembly, a by-election was held to fill vacant Student Council positions. Seven candidates delivered speeches on stage, after which students cast their votes. With the election completed, the newly reinforced 31st Student Council has officially launched. Moving forward, the Council will continue to promote a student-led approach to building an even better school environment.
