Impressive Achievements by Girls’ Tennis Club in Regional Competition

On July 12 and 13, the "2025 Kyoto Prefecture Junior High School Comprehensive Sports Tournament – Tennis Division (Kyoto District Tournament)" was held at the tennis courts of Doshisha International Junior High School. Our Girls' Tennis Club delivered an excellent performance in both the individual and team competitions, with many players advancing to the Kyoto Prefectural Tournament.

■ Individual Competition [Singles]
Mai Sakagami: 2nd Place (Qualified for Kyoto Prefectural Tournament)
Yuran Iwata, Ayako Suechika: Top 8 (Qualified for Kyoto Prefectural Tournament)

■ Individual Competition [Doubles]
Kato & Hasegawa Pair: 2nd Place (Qualified for Kyoto Prefectural Tournament)
Wada & Yamada Pair: Top 4 (Qualified for Kyoto Prefectural Tournament)
Noma & Mori Pair, Tatehana & Yabuuchi Pair: Top 8 (Qualified for Kyoto Prefectural Tournament)

■ Team Competition
In the team match, our team claimed a 3-2 victory in a close match against Doshisha International Junior High School, earning 1st Place and advancing to the Kyoto Prefectural Tournament.

D1: Yamada & Wada – Won 6-4
S3: Mori – Lost 0-6
S2: Tatehana – Won 6-0
S1: Sakagami – Won 7-5

The Girls’ Tennis Club will participate in the “78th Kyoto Prefecture Junior High School Comprehensive Sports Tournament – Tennis Division” to be held on July 25 and 26 at Saiin Park Tennis Courts. We kindly ask for your continued support and encouragement!
