From Monday, July 28 to Thursday, July 31, 2025, the Ritsumeikan Uji High School Soccer Club participated in the 10th Kanazawa Youth Challenge Cup held in Ishikawa Prefecture. The tournament welcomed top-tier schools from all over Japan, and intense matches were held each day. Our team advanced to the knockout stage, finishing second in their preliminary group.

In the knockout stage, we faced Seiryo High School, a prestigious team from Ishikawa Prefecture. Despite a scoreless draw, we were narrowly defeated in a penalty shootout. Though we did not win the championship, it was a remarkable and spirited performance by the team.

This expedition was the first official overnight trip for all first-year members. It provided invaluable learning experiences both on and off the pitch—from game play to team operations and daily life management. Through matches with teams of various styles nationwide, many players recognized their own strengths and areas for growth, making it a highly fruitful four-day trip.
