A Historic First Since the Club's Founding — A Day Full of Emotion and Achievement
On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the Ritsumeikan Uji Junior High School Brass Band Club won the Gold Prize at the 62nd Kyoto Prefectural Band Competition (Junior High Division A) held at Kyoto Concert Hall. This marks the first-ever Gold Prize in the club's history—a truly historic accomplishment.
Fulfillment After the Performance, Joy at the Results Announcement
On stage, the students performed with unity and confidence, fully demonstrating the results of their daily practice despite the tension of the moment. During the results announcement, some students were seen shedding tears of joy, and the venue was filled with a moving atmosphere. Their expressions showed a sense of fulfillment after the performance and sheer joy at hearing the result.
Looking Ahead
Now that the competition is over, the members are already energetically preparing for their next goals: the Kofusai (school festival) stage performance and the annual concert. This Gold Prize serves as a powerful motivator, and each student continues to practice daily, aiming to grow not only musically but also as individuals.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents, community members, and supporters who have watched over us with warmth. We sincerely ask for your continued support and encouragement for the Ritsumeikan Uji Junior High School Brass Band Club.
