[High School Wind Ensemble] Great Effort at the Kyoto Prefecture Band Competition (Senior High School Division A)

On Friday, August 8, 2025, the Ritsumeikan Uji High School Wind Ensemble participated in the 62nd Kyoto Prefecture Band Competition (Senior High School Division A), held at Kyoto Concert Hall, and was awarded the Silver Prize.
Under this year’s band slogan, “Connect,” the members took the stage with smiles on their faces and delivered a heartfelt performance that not only showcased the results of their tireless practice but also conveyed deep gratitude through music to everyone who has supported them. In their free selection, “The Last Letter from Murdoch,” the band filled the venue with their unique “New Ritsu-Uji Sound,” characterized by rich emotion and powerful harmonies that vividly evoked a dramatic landscape.
For the Wind Ensemble, the band competition is just a milestone. The many memories created together as a team are irreplaceable and will serve as a bridge to future growth and success.
Our musical journey is far from over. With the desire to deliver courage, hope, and inspiration through our performances, we will continue to practice with our teammates and strive to create music that resonates deeply with people’s hearts.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to the parents and everyone involved who made this wonderful opportunity possible. We sincerely hope for your continued warm support for the future endeavors of the Ritsumeikan Uji High School Wind Ensemble.

Thank you very much.
