[High School Wind Ensemble] Connecting Through Music — Joint Rehearsal with Ritsumeikan University
On Saturday, September 14, members of the Ritsumeikan Uji High School Wind Ensemble held a joint rehearsal with the Ritsumeikan University Pep Band at the Osaka Ibaraki Campus.
After warming up and practicing in their respective sections, the students and university members came together to rehearse pieces scheduled for the upcoming school cultural festival. The high school musicians were also treated to a live concert by the university band, whose powerful performance deeply impressed and inspired them.
To conclude the rehearsal, everyone joined together in a performance of the beloved wind ensemble classic, "Takarajima." The collaboration allowed participants to share the joy of music across generations. It was a day full of fruitful experiences—not only in musical technique but also in building connections through the universal language of music.
