【Junior High track and filed club】Newcomers’ Meet: Boys & Girls Combined 2nd Place!

On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the 41st Uji City Junior High School Autumn Track and Field Meet was held at Taiyogaoka Stadium. Our junior high school track and field club delivered an outstanding performance. The boys placed 3rd overall, the girls placed 2nd, and the team achieved an impressive 2nd place overall in the combined boys and girls division.

Main Competition Results

＜Boys’ Division＞

  • High Jump (All Grades): 1st Place Sota Okajima – 1.40m
  • Long Jump (All Grades): 1st Place Taito Nakaoka – 5.33m
  • Triple Jump (All Grades): 1st Place Takahiro Komada – 11.33m
  • 110m Hurdles (All Grades): 1st Place Sota Okajima – 18.93 / 2nd Place Takahiro Komada – 19.08
  • 800m (All Grades): 2nd Place Yuma Miyoshi – 2'13"26
  • 2nd-Year 100m: 2nd Place Riku Hirai – 12.11

＜Girls’ Division＞

  • 2nd-Year 800m: 1st Place Kotono Yamaguchi – 2'34"97
  • 4×100m Relay (All Grades): 2nd Place Kina Morimoto, Chisana Mori, Ai Ichida, Arufa Murakami – 56.06
  • 200m (All Grades): 3rd Place Chisana Mori – 29.53
  • 1st-Year 800m: 3rd Place Risa Uchida – 2'48"48
  • 100m Hurdles (All Grades): 3rd Place Karen Tsuji – 19.47


Athletes' Efforts and the Road Ahead

On a cloudy competition day, all athletes gave their best and left remarkable results across events. Notably, strong performances in field events and relays brought great energy to the team. Each athlete showcased the fruits of their daily training and demonstrated inspiring teamwork built on mutual trust. These accomplishments were made possible not only by the students’ efforts but also thanks to the support of their parents and the dedicated guidance of their coaches.
