Ritsumeikan Uji Baton Twirling Club: Both Junior and Senior High Teams Win Gold! Off to the Kansai Tournament
On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the 42nd Kyoto Prefectural High School Cultural Festival Baton Twirling Division and the 33rd Kyoto Prefectural Baton Twirling Competition were held at the Yamashiro General Sports Park Gymnasium. Both the junior and senior high school teams of the Ritsumeikan Uji Baton Twirling Club participated in the event.
The junior high team gave their very first team performance, impressively showcasing a powerful and energetic routine themed “Cobra: Illusion of the Desert,” which greatly energized the audience. The senior high team captivated the spectators with their unique worldview and dynamic techniques under the theme “Peacock: The Divine Bird That Leads the Light,” receiving high praise from the judges.
As a result, both the junior and senior high teams were awarded the Gold Prize and proudly secured their spots in the upcoming Kansai Tournament.
