Connecting Through Learning – Exchange Meeting with FC Imabari High School Satoyama Campus

On Monday, October 6, 2025, approximately 30 students from FC Imabari Satoyama High School in Ehime Prefecture visited our school. FC Imabari Satoyama High School is operated by the Imabari Meitoku Gakuen Educational Foundation and is led by Academy Director Takeshi Okada, former head coach of Japan’s national soccer team. The school places great value on nurturing "emotional richness" and "human power," aiming to develop individuals who can contribute to society through hands-on experiences and inquiry-based learning in the community. This visit was part of a collaborative program between the Ritsumeikan Educational Foundation and the Imabari Meitoku Gakuen Educational Foundation.

During the exchange meeting, students from both schools presented their respective research themes and progress, sharing ideas and discussing their approaches to setting problems and future prospects. The event was filled with vibrant and constructive dialogue, with students actively listening to each other's presentations and exchanging questions and advice.

Additionally, students engaged in lively conversations about their daily lives, club activities, and dormitory experiences, creating a cheerful and friendly atmosphere. Many students reflected on the event, saying things like, "I gained new perspectives by seeing how other schools approach their studies," and "I got great hints on how to improve our own inquiry projects." The encounter was clearly an inspiring and motivating experience.

This fruitful time allowed students to respect and learn from each other's academic journeys. Ritsumeikan Uji High School will continue to deepen each student’s spirit of inquiry through interschool collaboration.
