The 21st Annual Chorus Contest Was Held

On Saturday, November 15, the 21st Annual Chorus Contest was held in the main hall of our school.
This event is one of Ritsumeikan Uji’s traditional school events. In the days leading up to the contest, beautiful singing voices could be heard throughout the school corridors during mornings and lunch breaks. Along with the increasingly rich and powerful harmonies, students themselves experienced remarkable personal growth.

On the day of the contest, each grade performed a song of their choice from the assigned repertoire. First-year students selected from “My Own Road - The Tomorrow I Create -” and “The Sky Now”; second-year students from “Horane,” and “The Bell of Peace”; and third-year students from “Friend - The Time of Departure,” “Cantare – Let the Song Echo Across the Land,” and “To You – A Message for the Journey.” Each class showcased the fruits of their diligent practice.

The venue resonated with each class’s rich musical expression and beautiful harmony, making for an emotionally stirring contest that deeply moved the audience.
