Ritsumeikan Uji Panthers Crowned National Champions for the 4th Time with a Shutout Victory at Christmas Bowl

On Sunday, December 21, 2025, the final match of the National High School American Football Championship, the Christmas Bowl, was held at Yokohama Stadium. Representing the Kansai region, the Ritsumeikan Uji High School Panthers faced off against the Kanto representative, the Kosei Gakuen Lotus. In front of a large crowd of parents, classmates, and teachers, the Panthers achieved a flawless 35-0 shutout victory, earning their fourth national title and first in two years.


This year’s team also accomplished a remarkable feat of finishing the season undefeated, including both official matches and practice games.


After the match, individual awards were presented as follows:

  • Best Lineman (Ando Trophy): Kaoru Ikehata (3rd year, Ritsumeikan Uji)
  • Best Back (Misumi Trophy): Ren Oshika (3rd year, Ritsumeikan Uji)
