The Junior High School Culture Committee created a stained glass display based on the theme “RitsUji × Christmas.” Highlights of the display include designs that fuse the RitsUji spirit with Christmas cheer—such as a reindeer atop the school building, an “R” stocking filled with presents, and a bear wearing a Santa hat and the RitsUji vest.

Production was carried out by mixed-grade groups consisting of Culture Committee members from Classes 1 to 6. The completed artworks are currently on display in the lounge in front of the faculty office and will remain there until the beginning of the third term. During the exhibition period, Christmas sheet music is also placed on the lounge piano. We invite you to stop by and play a tune to add a musical backdrop to the display!

Message from the Junior High School Culture Committee Chair

My name is Abe, the Culture Committee Chair. Through this stained glass project, we focused on the importance of “creating one piece of art together as a whole committee.”

Although we faced some challenges—like taking more time than expected—the committee members worked together positively until the end. Stained glass is something that cannot be completed alone. Only when everyone’s designs and colors come together does it truly shine.

The finished stained glass pieces are all high in quality, and seeing them shimmer with overlapping colors in the light brought us a great sense of accomplishment. We hope everyone will come and view this heartfelt Christmas display created by the Culture Committee.
