We held a special “Investment WOW” seminar featuring a current second-year IB student, S-san, as the guest speaker.

This summer, S-san studied investment in the United States through the "Tobitate! (Leap for Tomorrow) Study Abroad JAPAN" program sponsored by the Ministry of Education. The program allowed her to deepen her own research project by acquiring practical knowledge through a local investment program.

The session featured interactive activities such as comparing current bank interest rates with returns from investments, and calculating real asset value fluctuations while accounting for inflation. While many participants initially felt that investing was a difficult concept, seeing concrete numbers and explanations helped make the topic feel more approachable.

S-san also shared valuable advice on how to create effective presentations, especially for students considering applying to the “Tobitate! Study Abroad JAPAN” program. Her firsthand experiences provided meaningful insight for younger students aiming to take on similar challenges in the future.
