In December, we held the “Let’s Make Insect Specimens WOW” workshop, where students created their own beetle and stag beetle specimens. We welcomed Mr. Kondo from the insect specimen specialty store “Kokemaru” as our guest instructor. Under his guidance, students learned professional specimen-making techniques. Their eyes sparkled with curiosity as they admired the impressive foreign beetles prepared for the session.

Creating insect specimens is a delicate task that involves carefully positioning each leg and antenna. With Mr. Kondo’s expert instruction, students worked with focus and determination to complete their one-of-a-kind creations. The finished specimens became treasured keepsakes and unforgettable memories for the students.
