Issei Doyu, a third-year student and member of the Ritsumeikan Uji High School hardball baseball team, has been selected as an Outstanding Player by the Kyoto High School Baseball Federation for the 2025 academic year.

Doyu played a key role as the team’s ace pitcher in the Autumn Kyoto Prefectural High School Baseball Tournament, leading the team to its first championship in 15 years. He continued to perform at a high level in subsequent competitions, advancing to the top eight in the Kinki Tournament and achieving a top-four finish at the 107th National High School Baseball Championship. These outstanding results earned him high recognition and led to his selection for this honor.

Standing at 185 cm tall, Doyu delivers powerful fastballs from his imposing height. By the summer of his third year, his fastball speed had exceeded 140 km/h, becoming a major asset for the team.
