Soaring into the World — IB Diploma Award Ceremony Held
On Saturday, February 28, we held the IB Diploma Award Ceremony. Thirty-four Grade 12 students who successfully completed the rigorous International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at our school were each presented with their diplomas by Principal Yokozawa. Two students who had already departed to begin their studies at overseas universities joined the ceremony online.
Each time a student’s name was called, warm applause filled the venue as they stepped forward with bright smiles to receive their certificates. Following the presentation, at their homeroom teacher’s signal, students moved their tassels from right to left—a symbolic gesture marking the completion of the programme and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, all Grade 12 students gathered in front of the clock tower for a celebratory hat toss. As their caps soared into the blue sky, memories of their dedication and shared journey came rushing back. The space was filled with a deep sense of accomplishment and joy, accompanied by warm applause from families and faculty members.
Completing the IBDP is a remarkable achievement and an invaluable milestone in each student’s life. We sincerely look forward to seeing our IB graduates continue to thrive as they spread their wings and make their mark on the world.
