Lacrosse Club Places 7th at the National Tournament — Turning Frustration into Motivation for Further Growth

The Lacrosse Club competed in the 17th All Japan Junior and Senior High School Girls’ Lacrosse Championship, held over three days from March 26 to 28 at Takaragaike Stadium, and achieved an impressive 7th place.

The match results for this tournament are as follows:

  • ・Day 1: vs Tokyo Seitoku University Junior & Senior High School (lost 6–9)
  • ・Day 2: vs Mejiro Kenshin Junior & Senior High School (lost 2–5)
  • ・Day 3: vs Kansai University Junior & Senior High School (won 9–6)

In preparation for this tournament, the Lacrosse Club set the goals of “winning the first match” and “defeating a Kanto team,” and trained diligently every day. During the games, the team was able to demonstrate the results of their hard work in many moments, but ultimately fell just short, leaving a sense of frustration. In particular, during the first match, the team fought neck and neck, remaining tied until midway through the second quarter, but was unable to secure the win—an experience that left a strong impression on the players.

On the other hand, in the 7th-place playoff on the third day, the team faced Kansai University Junior & Senior High School, an opponent they had hoped to play in the autumn tournament but could not. With powerful support from the bench, the entire team came together and earned a well-deserved victory.

Over the three days, the players experienced firsthand the high level of the Kanto teams on the national stage and rediscovered both the depth and the appeal of lacrosse. This experience has given them great confidence and will serve as strong motivation for what comes next.

For the new third-year students, the upcoming spring tournament will be the culmination of their efforts. With the goal of becoming the champions of Kansai, all members will continue striving for further growth.

We sincerely appreciate your continued warm support for the Girls’ Lacrosse Club.
