On Sunday, April 29, 2026, in the first round of the 24th Kansai Junior High School Championship Tournament, the Ritsumeikan Uji Junior High School Panthers faced a combined team of Nagahama Nishi Junior High School and the Kyoto Bears, winning 28–0.

The game began with the offense of the Nagahama Nishi–Kyoto Bears combined team, but the Ritsumeikan Uji defense shut them down. After gaining possession, Ritsumeikan Uji scored a touchdown on their first offensive series, built momentum, and continued to add points, finishing with a total of four touchdowns to secure a shutout victory in their opening game.
