On April 29 (Wednesday, national holiday), our Junior and Senior High School Wind Ensemble performed at Brass Expo 2026, held at Taiyo-ga-Oka (Kyoto Prefectural Yamashiro Sports Park).

“Brass Expo,” which had previously been held at Expo ’70 Commemorative Park, was relocated this year to Taiyo-ga-Oka under the concept, “From the Tower of the Sun to Taiyo-ga-Oka—Let’s make music together!!”

On the day, approximately 5,000 participants—mainly junior and senior high school students who enjoy wind ensemble music—gathered to perform pieces from a wide range of genres. For our students as well, it was a valuable opportunity to experience the performances of other schools and to once again appreciate the beauty of music and the appeal of wind ensemble.
