On May 16, the 2026 (33rd) Kyoto Prefectural High School Golf Championship Spring Tournament, held in conjunction with the 2026 Kyoto Prefectural High School General Athletic Meet Golf Competition, took place at Joyo Country Club West Course. Two students from our school competed in the tournament.

In the boys’ division, first-year student Yusei Tanaka captured an impressive championship victory in both the Spring Tournament Boys’ Division and the Boys’ Individual Division of the High School General Athletic Meet Golf Competition. In the girls’ division, third-year student Yurin Oyabu finished in 6th place in the Spring Tournament Girls’ Division and 4th place in the Girls’ Individual Division of the High School General Athletic Meet Golf Competition.

Tanaka entered the school in junior high school as an SA (Scholar Athlete & Artist) student and has steadily developed his skills over the past three years. In his very first tournament as a high school student, he achieved a remarkable championship victory, earning qualification for the 2026 Kansai High School and Junior High School Golf Championship Tournament.

Oyabu, while not an SA student, has also continued to dedicate herself to golf since junior high school while attending our school, and her consistent efforts led to this excellent result.
