[Spring Kinki Tournament] Ritsumeikan Uji Defeats Riseisha with a Batting Order Rally, Comes from Behind to Win 11–9
序盤は履正社ペース。鋭い打線が立ち上がりを攻め、2回までに3点を先制した。しかし立命館宇治は4回、打線がつながり一挙4点を奪って逆転に成功する。だが、直後の履正社の攻撃で4点を奪い返され、4-7と再びリードを許す苦しい展開となった。
流れを変えたのは6回、東のソロホームラン。この一発で5-7と追い上げると、チームに勢いが生まれた。続く7回、立命館宇治打線が爆発。打者一巡の猛攻で一挙6点を叩き出し、11-7と試合をひっくり返した。
履正社も8回・9回にそれぞれ1点を返し、最後まで食い下がったが、立命館宇治の粘り強い守備が反撃を最小限に食い止め、11-9で逃げ切った。勝利を掴んだ瞬間、スタンドでは歓喜の声が上がった。
両チーム合わせて20得点の打撃戦を制した立命館宇治。7回の集中打に見せたチーム力と、終盤の粘り強い守備が光った一戦だった。
試合後、江原雅登主将は「チャレンジャーの気持ちで臨んだ。ランナーがもつれる展開の中で、最後は打ち勝てたのが良かった」と笑顔で振り返った。勝因については「この期間、振る量を増やして振り込んできた成果が出た」と、チーム全体で取り組んだ打撃強化の手応えを語った。次戦に向けては「相手がどこであっても強い。チャレンジャーの精神を忘れず、さらに振り込んで勝ちにいきたい」と力強く意気込みを述べた。
The Reiwa 8 (2026) Spring Kinki Regional High School Baseball Tournament was held at WAKASA Stadium Kyoto, where Ritsumeikan Uji, the second representative from Kyoto, defeated powerhouse Riseisha, the representative from Osaka, 11–9 to earn a remarkable come-from-behind victory.
Their next game will be against Chiben Wakayama on Saturday, May 30 at 10:00 a.m. at WAKASA Stadium Kyoto.

The game began with Riseisha controlling the pace. Their sharp batting lineup attacked early and scored three runs within the first two innings. However, in the fourth inning, Ritsumeikan Uji connected with consecutive hits and scored four runs in a single inning to take the lead. Yet Riseisha immediately responded with four runs of their own in the next half inning, reclaiming the lead at 7–4 in a difficult turn of events for Ritsumeikan Uji.
The momentum shifted in the sixth inning when Azuma hit a solo home run. The blast narrowed the score to 5–7 and energized the team. In the following seventh inning, the Ritsumeikan Uji batting lineup exploded offensively. Batting around the order, they scored six runs in a massive rally to overturn the game and take an 11–7 lead.
Riseisha added one run each in the eighth and ninth innings and continued to fight until the very end, but Ritsumeikan Uji’s determined defense minimized the damage and preserved the 11–9 victory. The stands erupted in cheers the moment the final out was recorded.
Ritsumeikan Uji emerged victorious in this high-scoring battle that featured a combined total of 20 runs between the two teams. Their concentrated hitting in the seventh inning and resilient defense late in the game stood out as key factors in the win.
After the game, captain Masato Ehara reflected with a smile, saying, “We approached the game with the mindset of challengers. In a tense game with runners constantly on base, I’m glad we were able to come through with our bats in the end.” Speaking about the key to victory, he added, “During this period, we increased the amount of batting practice and kept swinging hard, and that effort paid off.” Looking ahead to the next game, he stated confidently, “No matter who we face, they will be a strong opponent. We want to keep our challenger’s spirit and continue swinging aggressively to earn another win.”
