On Saturday, May 23, 2026, the Kyoto Prefectural Qualifier for the Individual Competition of the Reiwa 8 National High School Inter-High Judo Tournament was held at the Kyoto City Budokan Center. The Ritsumeikan Uji Judo Club achieved outstanding results in the girls’ individual competition, winning four weight classes.

The four athletes who won their respective weight classes have qualified for the “Advance Toward Dreams: Summer Youth Kinki Inter-High 2026” (Inter-High Championships), which will be held this August at Wakayama Big Whale.

Despite facing difficult matches in their respective divisions, the award-winning athletes trusted in the skills they had built through daily training and fought tenaciously until the very end.
