[Student Council] Kofusai Theme “Flare” Launches! Second Student General Assembly Held
On Friday, June 5, the 2nd Student General Assembly and the By-election for the 33rd Student Council Officers were held.
At the Student General Assembly, the student council executive board presented a report on their activities for the first half of the academic year. The presentation introduced various initiatives, including the management of student council projects at the new student welcome event and the sports festival, locker room cleaning activities conducted by athletic clubs, the “Club Activity Close-Up Project” to showcase the appeal of club activities, and the activities of the Rule-Making Committee, where students take the lead in considering school life rules. The students listened attentively with serious expressions.
In addition, three proposals—“Regarding the allocation method of club activity subsidies,” “Regarding the revision of student council fees,” and “Regarding the implementation of food stalls at the Kofu Festival”—were presented. As a result of voting conducted through Classi, all proposals were approved.
Among these, the proposal to resume student-led food stalls for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic attracted especially strong attention. Moving forward, preparations will be advanced as a project to further enliven the Kofu Festival, while continuing discussions with the school toward its realization.
In the student council by-election that followed, the four candidates each delivered speeches, expressing their thoughts and aspirations for student council activities. As a result of the confidence vote, all four candidates were approved, and it was decided that they will serve as new student council officers.
Following this by-election, the student council will consist of a total of 15 members. Preparations will now begin in earnest for the cultural festival, the Kofu Festival, to be held in September.
This year’s Kofu Festival theme is “Flare.”
This theme conveys the idea of “a cultural festival where students’ challenges shine and spread, influencing one another and illuminating the entire school.”
The Kofu Festival is an event where each student’s challenge creates new brilliance. Please look forward to how “Flare,” created through student initiative, will unfold in the future.
