On June 18 (Thursday), an information session on the new high school student dormitory was held for students and parents of Ritsumeikan Uji Junior High School.
A total of 70 students and parents from 33 families considering dormitory residence attended the session. They received an overview of the dormitory’s educational concept, enrollment capacity, admission criteria, and other details. Following the presentation, participants toured the shared spaces on the first floor as well as the residential floors for both male and female students, gaining a deeper understanding of the new dormitory as a place for learning and daily life.
During the tour, participants viewed the study areas, common spaces, and student rooms firsthand. The students appeared excited about the prospect of their new lifestyle. Many questions were also raised by parents, reflecting their strong interest in the dormitory experience and educational environment.
Participants commented that “the facilities are excellent,” “it seems like a safe and comfortable place to live,” and “I would definitely like to live in the dormitory,” highlighting the high level of anticipation surrounding the new student dormitory.
Scheduled to open in April 2027, the new student dormitory is being developed as a place where students can live together, learn from one another, and grow both academically and personally.
The second information session is scheduled to be held on October 22, 2026 (Thursday).
