[High School American Football] Wins the Kansai Tournament for the 5th Time, Achieving Two Consecutive Championships

On Sunday, June 21, 2026, the finals of the "Kansai High School American Football Championship" were held at MK Taxi Field EXPO. Representing Kyoto Prefecture, Ritsumeikan Uji High School faced off against Keimei Gakuin High School, representing Hyogo Prefecture. Winning a close 9–7 battle, they spectacularly captured the Kansai Tournament championship title for the fifth time overall and the second consecutive year. Kohei Imanishi of Ritsumeikan Uji was selected for the Most Valuable Player Award (Saito Cup). The stands were packed with many classmates, alumni, parents, and teachers, who cheered alongside the brass band's performance and the cheerleaders, sharing the joy of victory.
