[Junior High School International Committee] 54 Messages Bound for Kenya
During the lecture "Learning About the Lives of Children in Kenya Today", held in June, Chiaki Hayakawa introduced Magoso School, which she operates in a slum in Kenya. Students learned about the local community, the daily lives of the children, and many other aspects of life in Kenya.
After the lecture, many students expressed a desire to write letters to the children at Magoso School. In response, the Junior High School International Committee Chair organized a WOW Program titled "Anyone Who Wants to Write a Letter to the Students of Magoso School in Kenya, Come Join Us!"
On the day of the event, students who wished to participate gathered together and thoughtfully wrote heartfelt messages while thinking about the children in Kenya. In total, 54 letters were completed. One student even created a poster to accompany the project.

These letters will be entrusted to Chiaki Hayakawa when she returns to Kenya in mid-July, and she will deliver them to the students at Magoso School. We are excited to see what kinds of connections and exchanges will grow from this wonderful opportunity.
