On July 11 and 12, the Kyoto District Tournament of the Tennis Competition at the Reiwa 8 (2026) Kyoto Prefectural Junior High School Comprehensive Sports Tournament was held at the tennis courts of Doshisha International Junior High School.

Our Junior High School Girls' Tennis Team delivered an outstanding performance in both the individual and team competitions, with many players earning qualification for the Kyoto Prefectural Tournament.

■ Individual Competition (Singles)

Mai Sakaue: 2nd Place (Qualified for the Kyoto Prefectural Tournament)

Miko Sato: Top 8 (Qualified for the Kyoto Prefectural Tournament)

■ Individual Competition (Doubles)

Tatehana / Fujiwara Pair: 1st Place (Qualified for the Kyoto Prefectural Tournament)

Kusumoto / Yabuuchi Pair: Top 4 (Qualified for the Kyoto Prefectural Tournament)

Suechika / Doi Pair, Yamamoto / Kofuji Pair, and Shigehara / Kuriyama Pair: Top 8 (Qualified for the Kyoto Prefectural Tournament)

■ Team Competition

In the team competition, our players defeated Doshisha International Junior High School in a closely contested match, winning 3–2 to claim the championship and secure their place in the Kyoto Prefectural Tournament.
