【WOW program & EX Project】Discover the World of STEAM with 3D Printing
On Monday, July 13, we held the EX Program "Exploring the World of STEAM Through 3D Printing." We were pleased to welcome staff members from Kyoto Tool Co., Ltd. (KTC) as guest instructors. After learning about how 3D printers work and how they are used in the manufacturing industry, students enjoyed a hands-on 3D modeling experience using Tinkercad.

Students were fascinated as they watched their own designs gradually take shape. Comments such as, "Amazing!", "It was much easier to design than I expected," and "I want to create even more things!" could be heard throughout the room. When they held the demonstration models in their hands, smiles naturally spread across their faces, and it was inspiring to see them completely absorbed in the joy of making things.
In the post-event survey, many students shared positive feedback, saying, "I enjoy making things even more now," "I was surprised by the wide range of applications for 3D printing," and "I realized this is a technology that could be useful in future careers." Many also expressed their hope to participate in future sessions.
We will continue to offer hands-on learning opportunities in collaboration with industry partners, providing students with meaningful experiences that connect classroom learning to the real world and help them develop the skills needed to shape the future.
