Girls' Lacrosse Team Finishes Runner-Up in the First-Year Players Tournament — Looking Ahead to Further Growth at Summer Training Camp
On July 20, the 3rd Kansai Junior and Senior High School Girls' Lacrosse First-Year Players Tournament (Summer) was held at Minoh Jiyu Gakuen High School. The event marked the first major tournament for the 34 first-year members of our Girls' Lacrosse Team. Competing against 12 teams from nine schools, Ritsumeikan Uji Team A finished as the tournament runner-up, delivering an outstanding performance.
From July 22 to 24, the team also participated in a three-day summer training camp at Ritsumeikan University's Biwako-Kusatsu Campus (BKC). Despite the intense summer heat, all members successfully completed the camp without any serious health issues. Through joint training sessions with university players, they refined their technical skills while also developing important qualities such as consideration for others and a strong sense of responsibility through communal living.
The experiences gained through both the tournament and the training camp have provided the team with valuable confidence and motivation. The players are committed to continuing their hard work so they can demonstrate even greater growth in the autumn tournament. We look forward to seeing the Girls' Lacrosse Team continue to take on new challenges and achieve even greater success.
