On Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26, the 79th Kyoto Junior High School Comprehensive Athletic Meet (Tennis) was held at Saiin Park Tennis Courts. The Ritsumeikan Uji Junior High School Girls' Tennis Team achieved outstanding results in both the individual and team competitions.

In the individual competition, two players competed in the singles event, while five pairs represented the school in the doubles event, with all of them delivering impressive performances.

In the singles event, Mai Sakagami finished in 3rd place.

In the doubles event, the pair of Tachibana and Fujiwara also earned 3rd place, while the pairs of Kusumoto and Yabuuchi and Suechika and Doi advanced to the quarterfinals, finishing among the Top 8.

As a result, all seven of these players qualified for the Kinki Junior High School Comprehensive Athletic Meet.

In the team competition, Ritsumeikan Uji defeated Heian Jogakuin Junior High School 3–1 in the semifinals before edging Doshisha International Junior High School 3–2 in a thrilling final to capture the championship for the first time in two years.

The team will next compete in the 2026 Kinki Junior High School Tennis Tournament / 53rd National Junior High School Tennis Championships Kinki Regional Qualifier, to be held on Thursday, July 30, at Oishi Ryokuchi Park Tennis Courts in Shiga Prefecture. They will also participate in the 75th Kinki Junior High School Comprehensive Athletic Meet, scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, and Thursday, August 6, at Tonboike Park Tennis Courts in Osaka Prefecture.
