On Thursday, July 30, the Ritsumeikan Uji Junior High School Girls' Tennis Team competed in the 2026 Kinki Junior High School Tennis Championships, which also served as the Kinki Regional Qualifier for the 53rd National Junior High School Tennis Championships, held at Oishi Ryokuchi Park Tennis Courts in Shiga Prefecture.

In the opening three-team round-robin stage, the team defeated Ikuei Nishi Junior High School 4–1 but lost 0–5 to Sakai Liberal Junior High School. They then advanced to the placement match, where they defeated Kishi Junior High School 3–0 to finish in fifth place. As a result, the team earned a place in the 53rd National Junior High School Tennis Championships for the first time in five years.
