On Thursday, July 23 and Friday, July 24, the 51st Kansai Junior Golf Championship was held at Takarazuka Golf Club (Hyogo Prefecture). Yusei Tanaka, a first-year senior high school student in our school's SA (Scholar, Athlete & Artist) Program, competed in the Boys' 15–17 Age Division.

After finishing the first day in 30th place, Tanaka improved his score on the second day and moved up to finish in 23rd place. As a result, he qualified for the 70th Japan Junior Golf Championship, which will be held from Wednesday, August 19 to Friday, August 21 at Kasumigaseki Country Club (Saitama Prefecture). The club is a prestigious course that also served as the venue for the golf competition at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Tanaka commented, "I'm happy that I was able to achieve a good result by never giving up until the very end. I'll do my best to earn an even better result at the Japan Junior Golf Championship, so I would greatly appreciate everyone's continued support."
