Rintaro Takemoto Takes a Podium Finish in the FIM Yamaha R3 BLU CRU World Cup
On Saturday, September 5, Rintaro Takemoto, a third-year student at our high school, delivered an outstanding performance in Race 1 of Round 4 of the FIM Yamaha R3 BLU CRU World Cup, held at the Magny-Cours Circuit in France, finishing in an impressive second place and earning a spot on the podium.
The FIM Yamaha R3 BLU CRU World Cup is an international competition sanctioned by the FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme), bringing together talented young riders from around the world. Takemoto qualified third and was in contention for the lead from the early stages of the race. After an intense battle for victory that continued all the way to the finish, he crossed the line in second place, just 0.195 seconds behind the winner.
This marked Takemoto's first podium finish in the FIM Yamaha R3 BLU CRU World Cup. It was also a remarkable achievement for Japan, with Japanese riders taking both first and second place in the race.
Takemoto became the Inter Class champion in the 2025 MFJ Cup JP250 Championship, earning the "YAMAHA YZF-R3 Scholarship." In 2026, he continues to take on riders from around the world as he competes across Europe.
We look forward to seeing Takemoto continue to challenge himself and reach even greater heights on the world stage.
